Kristin is a long-time Islander. She returned to the Salt Spring following university with a desire to continue living and working in her home community. Growing up on Salt Spring Island gave her the opportunity to make friends of all ages and backgrounds and this frequently led to new explorations in both academic and creative studies. She considers this early experience instrumental in developing a keen curiosity for learning that has led (and continues to lead) to subsequent study in many areas, both formal and informal. Kristin has served in various leadership and management roles on Salt Spring and beyond. She currently enjoys working with local nonprofits and participating in the shared joys and challenges of community life.
