Happy spring! We’ve got lots to do on housing

Hello friends! It’s been an eventful winter, with the windstorm, holiday season (that more than a few of us spent without power), and the recent snowmageddon. A few of our core volunteer team were also travelling to sunnier climes and taking some much needed downtime with families and friends.

But the snow is mostly melted, and snowdrops and crocuses are popping their heads up again. It’s that glorious time of growth and renewal, for the land and also our affordable housing campaign, our core volunteers – and we hope you and your energy to help fix this problem.

Stay tuned for more updates and actions as we work through the housing solutions wishlist.

The first action we’re asking for help on is commenting on the North Salt Spring Water Works new strategic plan. While we have great respect for what they do, their lack of acknowledgment of the role their water moratorium is playing on severely limiting creative affordable housing solutions is a problem. Click here for more on that action.

As always drop us a line if you want to suggest an idea, offer your time, or have a chat.
